team through our employee recognition programs Job Description:About the Role:The Quality Assurance Manager plans and executes strategic initiatives to ensure food safety and expand the Quality Systems of the organization. This position manages and direct all aspects of quality assurance to reach optimum quality and efficiency.
This position has direct responsibility for compliance with all local, state, and federal food safety policies governing the quality assurance, and rabbinical supervision of the Tonawanda, NY bakery. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:Developing and maintaining Food Safety & Quality Assurance programs including, but not limited to: Formula Control, Non-Conforming, Recall, Sanitation Effectiveness, Pest Control and Food Safety Plans Establish kosher certification system to ensure all ingredients comply with specific rabbinical requirementsEnsure compliance with in-house and/or external specifications and standards to include HACCP and GMPDevelop and maintain HACCP and SPC (Infinity IQS) systemsCoordinates and leads all internal and external auditsAddress issues with production; track and initiate investigation of complaint trends, managing and resolving customer and consumer complaintsResponsible for all food quality, food safety and food defenseOther duties as assignedImportant Details: This is a full-time permanent role on 1st shift with flexibility to accommodate occasional afterhours need at our Tonawanda, NY facility. Compensation range is $91,500-114,400 depending on experience.About You:You'll fit right in if you have:Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, food science or related field plus 5+ years of food safety quality experience8 years of experience in the food industryPrevious supervisory experience requiredGFSI (BRC or SQF) experience requiredKnowledge of SAP/PDM, InfinityQS, SharePoint and Minitab preferredAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
