Gas and Diesel Mechanic Wanted
We are seeking a skilled Gas and Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Niagara Falls, North Tonawanda, Erie County, Amherst, Lasalle, Maryvale, and Niagara County School Districts.

About the Job
As a Gas and Diesel Mechanic with First Student, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of vehicles, including Ford Transits, Chevy Suburbans, Chevy Express vans, Freightliner C2 & International conventional school buses. Your duties will include:

• 
  
• Performing preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections
  
• Diagnosing and repairing vehicle and equipment issues, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
  
• Ensuring work orders are completed accurately
  
• Assisting with mobile emergency services

  Requirements
  To be considered for this role, you must have:
  
  • 
    
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a CDL while employed
    
  • At least 5 years of diesel maintenance and repair experience or technical school education with some automotive experience
    
  • A mechanic's tool set and willingness to participate in the ASE certification program
    
  • Subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee
