For more information about the company, please visit our website at Summary: The overall objective of the Associate Director Electrical Equipment will work in a dynamic environment to assure the electrical reliability of our electrical equipment and power systems. The position will provide technical expertise to regions. This includes electrical reliability management, participation in RCAs, investigation of major electrical events, and supplier qualification and issues. The position also interfaces with LE on issues of equipment evaluation, specification reviews, and by fostering communication between LE and operations. Another key responsibility is to drive the implementation of electrical predictive maintenance programs and tools that will improve the reliability of electrical assets and supporting the development of maintenance best practices. The position participates in the development of company electrical safety policies. Responsibilities: Develop / Investigate electrical commercially available predictive tools, and work with internal organizations in new tool development Act as a liaison between Global Operations organizations and Engineering to communicate electrical concerns and findings and action implementation Lead plant electrical reliability assessments to determine actions needed to improve electrical reliability and drive action implementation Work with Global Electrical Team in the development of electrical maintenance standards and operating procedures Facilitate resolution of systemic electrical supplier issues as identified by service bulletins or collection of similar problems Identify and resolve long-term asset concerns (reliability threats) Research technical issues from RBU Electrical Specialists and provide practical resolutions and agree on practical solutions Monitor trend data and identify troubled assets minimizing down time impacts. Use maintenance reports to identify gaps in electrical maintenance Accountable for global predicted maintenance tools for electrical equipment (OMM, ESHM) Manage electrical reliability team Identification, development, implementation, and training of innovative electrical equipment reliability programs Engages and works across company organizations (Ops, R&D, Procurement, Engineering) as required, to develop improvement strategic solutions Participation in the development of company electrical safety policies Key Interfaces: Operating segment operations and reliability managers, COC Digitalisation, Smart Operations Reliability Centres /Equipment Health Centres SHEQ Linde Engineering Required Skills: Bachelor degree in electrical engineering Proven technical knowledge of all kind of electrical equipment and related predictive and prescriptive maintenance methodologies and latest technologies Extended operational knowledge of electric motors, switchgear, and transformers Familiarity with electrical diagnostic tests of motors, switchgear, and transformers Knowledge of motor partial discharge measurement interpretation Knowledge of motor failure mechanisms Knowledge of statistical analysis methods to conduct equipment reliability forecasts Proven fluency in standard software packages. Proven financial acumen, statistical analysis, & fishbone analysis Excellent communication, team interaction and presentation skills. Ability to work independently as well as lead/participate on cross functional teams.
