Job Title: RN - Step down Location: Rochester, NY 14621 This facility is not accepting locals within 75 miles. The Intermediate Care unit (IMCU) is a critical care step-down unit dedicated to providing exceptional, evidence- based care to our patients. We receive patients from many areas, including but not limited to: the Emergency Department, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and medical-surgical floors. Our patient population consists of adult, acute care patients who require more specialized care than is available on a general medical-surgical unit. All of our patients have continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring. We care for patients needing airway management, acute BIPAP support, patients with arterial lines, central lines and patients requiring titrated medicated IV infusions. Patient care services vary widely, depending on each individuals specific needs. Our team adapts quickly, is vigilant and provides compassionate care using a multi-disciplinary approach. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and interpret patients' vital signs and respond appropriately Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Provide care and support to patients transitioning from ICUs Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop care plans Perform detailed patient assessments and document findings in medical records Manage intravenous lines and advanced medical equipment Educate patients and their families about post-hospital care and wellness Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care Assist with patient mobility and ensure their comfort Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations Required Qualifications: 1 year of RN Step down experience ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Certification NY State RN License required Locals not accepted within 75 miles.
