Orthopedics for a local contract nursing job in Rochester, New
York. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Orthopedics

hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is
currently seeking a Med/Surg Nurse for a contract assignment at a
Prestigious Hospital in Rochester, NY. Job Function: Day Shift or
Night Shift. 3x12. Prepares and administers (orally,
subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.
Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in
accordance with the policy regarding the administration of
medications by a licensed registered nurse. Educates patients on
surgical procedures; Records patients’ medical information and
vital signs. Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on
patients, and interprets and records electronic displays. Job
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or holder
of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). Current RN license in the
state of New York. 2 years of acute care Medical/Surgical RN
experience required. BLS and ACLS certifications from the American
Heart Association required. Telemetry experience required,
including telemetry interpretation. Orthopedic nursing experience
required. Experience in a Level 1 trauma facility preferred.
