Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Radiology Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 08/04/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, evenings - Employment Type: Travel Job Description & Requirements/n /nCertified Radiology Technologist - (RAD Tech)/n /nStartDate: 8/4/2025 /nAvailable Shifts: 8 E /nPay Rate: $2022.53 - $2216.18 /n /nResponsible for coordinating and performing radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision./n/nSkills Required/n• Knowledge of radiographic examinations and positioning techniques including those procedures that require the use of contrast agents/n• Basic computer skills, ability to navigate through Windows (Outlook, a plus)/n• Knowledge of radiographic equipment operation and radiation safety/n• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology/n• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization/n• Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet schedules/n• Demonstration of ethical and professional conduct/n/nDuties and Responsibilities/n• Prepares room, equipment, contrast and materials as needed for patients/n• Cleans and disinfects radiographic room and equipment/n• Prepares patient for radiographic procedure: explains procedure, assists patient throughout the exam including exiting the room/n• Follows prescribed techniques in administering specific x-rays in order to obtain diagnostic images/n• Able to competently utilize HIS/PACs/RIS software programs./n• Prints exams on film PRN; participates in department QA program/n• Observes patient and equipment during procedure-reports unusual occurrences and records patient condition as needed/n• Maintains stock supplies and performs general office duties./n• Active movement through the work day. Standing, sitting, pivoting and walking./n/nRequirements/n• Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program/n• Licensed by the New York State Department of Health/n• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists/n• Flexibility to work overtime including off-shift duty as needed (evenings and weekends)/n/n/n Required Qualifications Certified Radiology Technologist, Radiology/nExperience: 2 years/nLicenses: RAD-NY/nCertifications: R-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists(Copy needed)/nSSN Required/nDOB Required/nWork History: Should not be more than 21 days of gap in entire work history/nReferences: 2 References in entire work history/n/nMinimum 2 years’ experience as an x-ray technologist, preferably in a Level 1 trauma center; Comfortable in an OR setting (C-Arm) ARRT; NY Rad License; Covid/Flu Vaccination; BLS (AHA) *NY Rad Tech License required to RFO* REQUIREMENTS: 2 verified references; Skills Checklist (within 1 year) AT RFO (IN CUE): FULL SSN; DOB; RTO AT RFO (EMAIL to Paige): COPY of NY Rad License; Copy of ARRT; Copy of Driver's License (Front and Back) - COVER SHEET REQUIRED: Yes - "Strong Mem Rad Tech Prescreen"/n Preferred Qualifications Travel Experience/n/n Facility Location A unique urban oasis, this New York metropolis is famous for its people, food and fun.
