Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CCU - Coronary Care Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an Critical Care Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at Prestigious Hospital in Niagara Falls, NY. Job Function: Night Shift. 3x12. Recognizes aspects and implications of patient status that vary from normal and reports to or collaborates with appropriate health team members for input. Will work with acute/chronic patients, inpatients and outpatients. Assesses daily assigned patient care needs and collaborates with direct and ancillary patient care staff as needed. Directs and provides, in collaboration with direct and ancillary patient care staff, all aspects of the daily provision of safe and effective delivery of chronic hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients. Administers medications as prescribed or in accordance with approved algorithm(s), and documents appropriate medical justification and effectiveness. Assesses, collaborates, and documents patient/family’s basic learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education to patients and family. Job Requirements: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). Current, valid RN license for the state of which you are working in. 1 years of inpatient/ acute MS/TELE RN experience is required. BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required. Cerner EMR experience is highly preferred.
