Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical Intensive Care Unit Location: Rochester, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,194 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/24/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: NY License in hand Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic charting experience Description: Candidates must have an active NY license. This position is for the MICU specialty. The shift is 3x12 nights from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend requirements include every other weekend. Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Epic charting experience is mandatory. The unit has 16 beds with patients presenting a range of conditions, including sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, and more. Patient acuity levels can vary, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:2, occasionally 1:1. The unit requires skills in dysrhythmias management, ventilator care, and interpretation of arterial blood gases. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams. Candidates should be prepared to float to other areas as needed. Module training may be required prior to the start date. Qualified individuals can expect a dynamic work environment with diverse patient populations.
