the Position Medix is seeking an experienced and licensed
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week travel contract in
Gillette, Wyoming . This assignment offers a unique opportunity to
work with a diverse patient population across multiple care
settings within a single health system. As a traveling clinician
through Medix, you will be working with our client to provide
essential diagnostic and therapeutic services. We are seeking a
flexible and confident clinician ready to quickly integrate into a
supportive team environment Location: Gillette, Wyoming Facility
Type: Diverse Setting (Inpatient, Outpatient, SNF, Home Health)
Start Date: ASAP Length of Assignment: Approximately 13 weeks (520
hours) Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Typically
Monday–Friday, five 8-hour shifts (approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00
PM). State License Needed: WY Speech Therapist License Pay:
Comprehensive compensation packages, including competitive rates
and potential non-taxable stipends, will be reviewed in detail with
your dedicated Medix recruiter. The SLP will join a small,
collaborative team of therapists, managing an adult and/or
pediatric caseload with exposure to a variety of settings.
Scheduling is typically blocked to cover specific areas, ensuring
an organized workflow. Diverse Caseload: Provide evaluation and
treatment services across settings including inpatient/acute care ,
outpatient , Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) , and home health .
Specialty Focus: The client is open to clinicians who prefer to
focus exclusively on either a pediatric patient population or a
dedicated SNF/adult geriatric caseload . Patient Care: Perform
comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized
treatment plans for patients with speech, language,
cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders (dysphagia).
Productivity: Manage a daily caseload of approximately 6-8
patients, with one patient scheduled per hour. Note: double-booking
is prohibited to ensure compliance with quality regulations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical
documentation using Epic-based platforms (EMR). Experience with
Medhelp interfaces into Point Click Care is a plus. Requirements
Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from
an accredited program. Licensure: Active and unrestricted Wyoming
Speech Therapist License . Experience: Previous experience in
diverse settings (SNF, Outpatient, Acute, Home Health) is
preferred, demonstrating a strong ability to adapt clinical skills
to varied environments. Professionalism: Proven ability to work
autonomously and integrate effectively as a cooperative member of a
