Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN – New York Start Date: March 3, 2026 Location: Rochester, New York Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3x12 Night shifts, every other weekend required, holiday availability mandatory Highlights: 13-week contract at a 528-bed tertiary care hospital with a 26-bed specialized cardiac unit Care for post-PCI, pacemaker, AICD, and post-MI patients with cardiac pharmacological interventions Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for medical-surgical telemetry EPIC charting system utilized facility-wide Opportunities for cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response involvement First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience Requirements: Active New York RN license in hand at time of application (no exceptions) Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience EPIC charting experience required Current BLS certification Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and Rapid Response/Code team participation Proficiency in peripheral line care/management, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management Must reside more than 75 miles from facility location Willingness to float to other units as needed Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to develop advanced cardiac nursing skills in a large tertiary care environment while caring for a specialized patient population.
