Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable, Full Time Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week, including 2 on-call shifts in 4 weeks Experience: 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical environment as a Registered Nurse License: New York State Registered Nurse Licensure required Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI only), NIHSS required Must-Have: One (1) year of experience serving in a Medical/Surgical environment as a Registered Nurse Description: The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical skills, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Registered Professional Nurse assesses patient needs and develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The role includes providing direct care, evaluating patient progress, and coordinating care delivery throughout the patient's episode. The nurse develops specialized skills in caring for patients admitted with medical conditions. Care is provided to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions.
