Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Rochester, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,157 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 11 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: New York license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: - EPIC experience required - Candidates must float as needed Description: This position is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse with a focus on adult and pediatric care. The nurse will manage patients experiencing a variety of medical emergencies. The ratio of patients to nurses will be 1:5 with mixed acuity levels. The role requires skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Candidates must be familiar with blood product administration and central line care. Phlebotomy and starting IVs are essential skills required for this position. The use of continuous IV medications, including paralytics and sedation, is expected. Procedural sedation administration and monitoring experience are necessary. Candidates will be responsible for managing patients with multi-system organ dysfunction or failure. Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE usage is required. The nurse will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Weekend shifts will be scheduled every other weekend. Floating to other units may be required based on census levels. This role supports a daily census of approximately 64 patients, with an average of 145 visits per day. Candidates should have experience obtaining 12 lead EKGs. The position is open to first-time travelers. Applicants must possess a thorough understanding of emergency department protocols and procedures.
