a qualified Med/Surg RN in Penn Yan, New York, 14527! Job Title:
Med/Surg Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Acute Care
Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Full Time Hours per Shift: 3x12s, day or
night shifts as needed, including every other weekend and holidays,
plus 2 On Call shifts per 4-week schedule Experience: One (1) year
experience serving in a Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse
required License: NYS RN Licensure required Certifications: BLS,
ACLS required Must-Have: - One (1) year experience serving in a
Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse - NYS RN Licensure
Description: The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing
theory, technical skills, and communication skills to deliver
high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The RN
assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration
with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates
patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the
patient's episode. The Med/Surg RN develops specialized skills in
the area of cardiac care, including telemetry monitoring. The RN is
accountable for patient and family education to assist in
understanding self-care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle
changes to support health and healing. He/She promotes comfort and
provides emotional support in a healing environment. The RN applies
nursing knowledge and skills in the delivery of care by assessing
patient and family needs. This includes active listening, social
