NY Department: Community Pre-Vocational Services Reports To:
Coordinator of Vocational Services Employment Type: Full-Time - 40
Hours, 8am - 4:30pm with some evening flexibility for meetings &
events Starting Wage: $19.50 per hour Why You Should Work for

Responsibilities: Provide daily coaching and training in a group
setting to build job readiness and soft skills through
hand-assembly and contract work. • Facilitate breakout groups
focused on workplace behaviors, communication, time management, and
independence. • Develop and maintain Staff Action Plans;
participate in life plan meetings and act as an active member of
each person’s team. • Continuously assess strengths, interests, and
skill-building opportunities; support individualized transitions to
community employment. • Collect and document attendance,
productivity, job performance, and progress toward goals; meet all
deadlines. • Prepare productivity evaluations and assist with time
studies in accordance with Department of Labor regulations. •
Ensure all OPWDD, DOL, ACCESS-VR, OSHA, and Medicaid documentation
is current and compliant (service plans, worker contracts, DDPs,
I-9s, etc.). • Provide feedback to ensure tasks/contract work are
appropriate and achievable for the people supported. • Collaborate
with business staff on payroll, quality assurance, and packaging;
engage people supported in these processes to promote skills and
independence. • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work
environment; support physical plant safety. • Serve as a positive
role model; promote professional, inclusive, and person-centered
practices. • Participate in Vocational Services staff meetings and
departmental engagement activities. What You Bring: Education &
Experience: Associate degree 1 year relevant experience; OR High
school diploma/equivalent 3 years of pre-vocational or human
services experience. Skills & Qualities: Strong communication,
problem-solving, and organizational skills; adaptability and
critical thinking. Requirements: Must meet agency driver and
background check requirements; ability to complete all agency
trainings. Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to
40 lbs while supporting individuals in varied work environments.
