Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Rochester, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,782 per week Shift Information: 4 days x 11 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/10/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Rochester, New York, 14621! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year License: NY License Required Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: Must have NY license in hand - no exceptions. Experience with EPIC charting required. Ability to take a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg. Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse in the PCU. The shift will be nights. Every other weekend is required. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must be within a 75-mile radius. The Nurse will care for adult, acute care patients. The unit provides exceptional, evidence-based care. Patients are received from various hospital areas including Emergency and Intensive Care. All patients require continuous monitoring. The role includes airway management and acute BIPAP support. Candidates should have experience with peripheral line care and management. Administration of IV therapy is necessary. Knowledge of respiratory support methods is required. Isolation precautions must be observed. Interdisciplinary support includes various departments such as IV Teams and Pharmacy. Patient diagnoses cover all medical conditions with a focus on pulmonary patients. The unit is equipped for specialized medical care. Flexibility and vigilance are essential for this role.
