Job Title: Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two years of Operating Room experience required; experience in a level 1 trauma preferred License: RN License - New York Certifications: BLS and ACLS - American Heart Association Must-Have: Ability to scrub and circulate Description: The Cardiac Operating Room cares for a diverse range of patients. Procedures include CABGs, TAVIs, heart failure treatments, ECMO, artificial hearts, and heart transplants. A multidisciplinary approach is utilized in the care of patients of all ages. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of nursing experience in an operating room setting. Experience in a level 1 trauma operating room is highly desired. BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
