Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg Orthopedic /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 36 or 48 hours per week with rotating day, evening, and night shift schedules /n• Float to different units, work weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback shifts as needed /n• Charge nurse responsibilities per unit needs /n• Specialize in orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses /n• Must have 2 years of nursing experience with orthopedic experience required /n• Telemetry experience required /n• New York RN license required (NY licenses only accepted) /n• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association only) /n• Level 1 trauma facility experience preferred /n• Must demonstrate excellent organizational, problem solving, and communication skills /n• Ability to work as a team player in an enthusiastic and collaborative environment /n• Opportunities for education and professional growth in a department recognized for research and innovation /n/n Facility: /n This major academic medical center operates as a Level 1 trauma facility and is recognized for research and innovation in orthopedic care.
