Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/13/2026 - Duration: 17 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 9 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - Acute Care /n/n Job Details: /n • Work day shifts from 6:30 AM/7:30 AM to 3:30 PM/4:30 PM /n• OR RN position requiring circulator experience with multiple service lines /n• Float required to units at both SSMH and GGH facilities /n• Minimum 2 years OR experience required /n• Must be able to circulate in Orthopedics (total joints, ortho trauma, sports medicine, arthroscopies, upper extremity procedures) /n• General Surgery experience (laparoscopic and open procedures) /n• Urology procedures including litho laser use /n• ENT procedures including pediatric patients, PE Tubes, T&As, Septoplasties, FESS with and without navigation /n• GI procedures: Colonoscopies, EGDs, Dilatation /n• Spine procedures: ACDF, Lumbar Fusions, discectomies, Kyphoplasties, posterior Cervical fusions /n• Ophthalmology: Cataracts with microscope and phaco machine use /n• Podiatry procedures similar to sports medicine, both open and endoscopic /n• On-call experience preferred as you may be the only OR RN on site during call /n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all through AHA/RQI), STROKE, NIHSS /n• New York State RN licensure required /n• Provide patient assessment, care planning, direct care, and patient/family education /n• Work with adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations /n• 3-day orientation period provided /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility is a community hospital that provides comprehensive surgical services across multiple specialty areas.
