Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required in MS/Tele settings License: Must have an active New York Single State RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience required - IV therapy/phlebotomy skills - Blood product administration competency - Peripheral line care and management - Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias - Experience with rapid response and code team use - Knowledge of non-invasive airway management - Oxygen administration experience - Wound care and wound vac skills Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry. The shift is days, working 3 twelve-hour shifts per week. The RN will care for patients post-percutaneous coronary interventions, pacemakers, AICDs, post-myocardial infarctions, and provide cardiac pharmacologic interventions. The nurse will handle a patient ratio of 1:5, with up to 1:7 for MedSurg. Floating within the skill set will be required. Charting will be done using the EPIC system. The RN must be available to work every other weekend and holiday if needed. Candidates should possess skills in isolation precautions and the use of personal protective equipment. The role requires effective communication with interdisciplinary teams.
