MRI Tech Location: Rochester, NY Agency: Bluebix Health Inc Pay: $2,800 to $2,900 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Pediatric MRI Technologist (Travel – 13 Week Contract) Location: Rochester, NY Job Type: Travel – Contract (13 weeks) Shift: 12?hour shifts • 3 days per week (~36 hrs/week) Duration: ~13 weeks | Start ASAP/April 2026 (varies) Department: Pediatric MRI / Radiology Licensure/Certifications Required: • NY State Radiologic Technologist License (MRI) prior to start • ARRT (MRI) certification • BLS (American Heart Association) Job Summary As a Pediatric MRI Technologist , you’ll perform diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging scans on pediatric patients (from newborns through adolescents) in a hospital setting. This role supports physicians in acquiring high?quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities Prepare and position pediatric patients for MRI scans (age?appropriate care). Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, adjusting protocols as needed for age and clinical indication. Screen patients for contraindications; assist with sedation/anesthesia procedures when needed. Coordinate with radiologists and healthcare team to deliver timely images and documentation. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, MRI safety standards, and patient confidentiality. Qualifications ? Minimum 2 years MRI technologist experience (preferably including pediatric MRI). ? Previous experience with Siemens or similar MRI scanners preferred. ? Comfort caring for pediatric patients in a Level I trauma hospital setting.
