Job Title: Shipping Clerk Location: Farmington, NY Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join a growing team in Farmington, NY . As a Shipping Clerk, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining efficient and accurate shipping and receiving operations—ensuring that all materials, orders, and documentation are handled with care and precision. Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Pay: $18.00 per hour Core Duties & Responsibilities: Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies; report issues promptly. Accurately verify shipment contents against packing slips and documentation. Safely receive, sort, and store materials using manual labor and/or warehouse equipment. Pick, pack, label, and stage customer orders with care and precision. Maintain accurate shipping records and submit all required documentation. Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding delays or delivery issues. Follow all safety protocols, use required PPE, and help ensure a safe work environment. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company standards. Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately. Support other warehouse and inventory tasks as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Willingness to learn how to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other tools (training provided). Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly. Ability to read and interpret shipping instructions, manuals, and safety guidelines. Basic math skills (e.g., calculating counts, weights, or percentages). Clear communication skills and a team-first attitude.
