An LPN works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and handles a diverse range of tasks, including administering treatment or medications, performing clinical procedures, and documenting the clinical data of patients, among other duties.*RESPONSIBILITIES:** Ensures the care and safety of all residents in the nursing unit* Ensures that individual care plans are followed* Administers and documents medications, treatments, and other nursing services* Makes a count of controlled substances on the assigned nursing unit* Records current condition of assigned resident in EMR* Receives and gives an accurate report of the resident condition at shift change* Communicates to the nursing team and medical provider as indicated and required* Assists in the orientation of new staff* Maintains competency in all the tasks needed by CMS*REQUIREMENTS:** Minimum 18 years of age* New York State (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse licensure* Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructions* Basic computer knowledge, PCC e-MAR experience preferred* Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds*ABOUT US:*The McGuire Group is a portfolio of six health care facilities in New York state, including: Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg; Brookhaven Health Care Facility in East Patchogue; Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga; Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Williamsville; Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda and Seneca Health Care Center in West Seneca.
