Job Description:

Overview: Responsible for procurement, tracking and shipping of equipment and materials for assigned projects and to add value to company projects with effective purchasing, expediting, and logistics in a timely manner per Company policies, procedures, and work instructions. Responsibilities: The Procurement Coordinator shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:Prepare and issue Request for Quote (RFQ) to selected bidders as per project procurement strategy and coordinate RFQ and organize commercial and technical bid clarifications with Engineering, Project Procurement Management & Project Management department.Evaluate and negotiate the quotations of bidders and prepare bid analyses (TCO evaluation sheet) and issue recommendation to Project Procurement ManagerConduct final price negotiation in close cooperation with the PPM and the Project Manager, Prepare and issue purchase order to selected supplier and expedite receipt of order confirmationUse company business system, SAP MM, other available reports and fabrication documents to expedite suppliers for on time deliveries for assigned projects based on technical specifications.Review, monitor and maintain status of supplier / sub-vendor procurement activities (i.e., obtaining certificates, verification/evaluation of vendor activities to monitor sub-vendor progress).Manage all shipping methods and deliveries to various vendor locations and job sites, including value analysis tools to assist estimating process and preparing documentation for shipping and customs clearanceLearn and abide by the Linde Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct, Trade Compliance Policies and Procedures,Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all communications, actions, and decisions. Qualifications: Education and Experience Required:BS/BA in Business, Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum three (3) years experience in procurement, logistics, or project management for an engineering and construction company.Experience with ERP business system preferred.International business experience preferred.Experience with courier, LTL, and intermodal shipping preferred.Skills Required:Ability to work well with superiors, colleagues, customers and suppliers, under tight deadlines.Effective negotiation skills.Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office Software, Lotus Notes, SAP, and other Company and discipline specific software applications.Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective organization skills including the ability to prioritize and plan work.Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.Travel Percentage:Minimal, 10%-20%
